Details of Experience:
L. Espinoza arrived at Ramapo Manor on October 1st 2015 after a week stay at GSH. Mr. Espinoza was battling pneumonia and was going to need a lot of therapy. He was immediately a candidate for our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program which they started him on right away. The program had great effects on him and he was progressing quite well. The main goal was for him to get better so he could return back to Peru where he lives in the winter months. After four weeks of intense therapy, he was able to leave Ramapo Manor and catch a flight the next day to Peru. He was a wonderful success story and in general just a great person. This is what he had to say about the Pulmonary Program: “This program was very helpful to me. My breathing has gotten so much stronger. When I started this program I wasn’t even able to walk and I was getting four liters of oxygen around the clock. When I finished the program I was only getting two liters of oxygen daily and am now walking on my own! This program is the reason I am able to head back to Peru to see my friends and family. The therapists showed me a lot of different breathing exercises and techniques that I can use while I am at home. I would 100% recommend this program to anyone who has trouble breathing. Everyone at Ramapo Manor treated me with excellent care and I just want to thank you all for what you guys did.” -L. Espinoza
