How did this patient hear about Ramapo Manor? The Case Manager at GSH.

Details of Experience:
Patricia A. Came to Ramapo Manor after a weeklong stay at GSH. Prior to going to GSH Patricia had a really bad fall at her house and was unable to return home right away. Luckily Ramapo Manor was right down the road from the hospital and we were able to provide her all of the services that she was going to need. Physical and Occupational therapy worked with her everyday so that she was physically able to get stronger. Upon arrival she was a very shy and quiet person. She would always choose to eat her meals in her room and never liked to be around the other residents. About a week into her stay we started getting Patricia involved in our daily activities.

From there the rest was history. She became involved in all of our activities and made friends with everyone. Breakfast was her favorite meal of the day so we got her involved in our weekly Tuesday Brunch. This is a new program that we rolled out for our residents. It takes place every Tuesday from 7-10:30AM. At this brunch the residents have the option of ordering various items that they wouldn’t see on a daily basis. It has been a huge hit and it was one of Patricia’s favorite activities to be a part of. After 68 days at Ramapo Manor Patricia was finally strong enough to return home. We were so happy that everything worked out for Patricia. We told her that she is welcomed back every Tuesday for Breakfast Brunch.
