How did this patient hear about Ramapo Manor?
Patient was referred by Nyack Hospital.

Patient came to Ramapo Manor October 6th 2014. She was admitted here because of severe foot ulcers that she had. I wanted to use Patient for my April case study because she was here one day shy of 200 days. Over the last 7 months I really got to know Patient. I would always go into her room and talk to her for 15-20 minutes and ask her how things were going. She would always enjoy the Hot Towel Service that we provide along with the Snack Cart (Potato Chips were her favorite). At first Patient wasn’t able to do any Physical Therapy because of her condition and how bad her Foot Ulcers were. She was moved from room to room during her stay at Ramapo Manor because of the construction that we are currently undergoing at our facility. Eventually we were able to put Elaine in one of our newly renovated private rooms which she really enjoyed. Overtime Patient’s foot ulcers got better and she was finally able to start PT/OT. It took months of intense therapy but eventually she was able to get back on her feet. I was speaking with her today before she left and I asked her “What was one positive thing that you encountered while staying with us at Ramapo Manor?” She said “Kris I am so thankful for everyone’s help throughout this facility. From Therapy to Dietary everyone was great.” We will truly miss Patient at Ramapo Manor but we are so excited that she was able to go home. It was a team effort to get her back home but in the end it was a huge success.
